We rely heavily on volunteers from  the community.  Last season we had over 350 volunteers who worked over 4,000 hours!  Volunteers are the glue that holds us together.  There are many different ways that you can volunteer and several levels of commitment!

LOVE PEOPLE THROUGH FOOD!

Prepare a Meal Daily 5:45pm

Prepare a meal for the shelter.  Drop it off at the shelter at 5:45pm or bring the meal and also sign up to serve.  This is a great activity for small groups and families.  For more information, click here.

Serve a Meal Daily 5:45pm-7:30pm 

We love people through food!  Sign up to serve the meal to our guests.  We serve up to 40 guests every evening. 

 

Engage with guests!

Evening Greeter 5pm-7pm

Are you an extrovert who enjoys extending hospitality? Sign up to be a greeter!  Welcome guests and food volunteers to the shelter in the evening.  Help with facilitating the evening meal, interact with guests, staff and meal volunteers.  

​

Evening Activities 6:30-8:30pm

Also a great job for an extrovert! Hang out with guests: play games, bring in a craft to do, host bingo, or other fun activities.   This position helps staff as needed and has a chance to interact with guests in the common spaces.
